Animal Kingdom elephants & hippos
The safari tour was awesome, we were able to see so many different animals, it felt like being on safari in Africa! The baby elephant had the older ones wrapped around his finger, just like human babies do and the hippos ears were in constant motion otherwise you would never know they were there! So special!
Have a SCRAPtastic day!
Blessings,
Melitta

Animal Kingdom's Tree of Life
Animal Kingdom's tree of life is simply an amazing sight to see! We were lucky enough to see Animal Kingdom all decorated up with a beautiful christmas tree as well!
I hid my journaling behind the lower left photo on the right-side layout, adding the animal parade to pull it out with.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a SCRAPtastic day!

Fast & Furious Birthday
This is my super fun 'masculine' birthday card! I used my computer to print "what does...look like at your age?" on a 5.25x4" white cardstock panel then stamped the 'Fast and Furious' image from my stamp set in between the two lines. Also in that stamp set is this awesome tire tread border and the slick looking race car! I stamp the race car in different positions, using a light grey ink, to communicate movement on the race track then I stamped the race car in bright red and popped it up lower and in the center. I stamped that cool tread as the race track road and in several directions on the card base to create interest on the edge of the card base, below the front card panel.
I thought this would be a great card to kid around the aging guy in your life! The supplies are listed and linked below!

Stamping Layers
Thanks for stopping by to spend time with me today!
This is a card using those awesome 'layering' stamps that are all the rage right now...truth is they have been around for a long, long time but they are making a fierce comeback!
One technique for using them is to plan to use the same 'color' but in varying shades. In this thank you card I used 3 different shades for each flower, first the 'blackout' layer in the lightest shade, the 'outline' layer in the darkest shade and the center in a medium shade. These types of layering stamps look wonderful in different color groups as well as in different shades of the same color.
I used my CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut the sentiment label from Amethyst cardstock and a miscellaneous orange patterned paper. See the supplies list below for the cut information.
I used Thistle Ink for 'WITH' & CS Orchid Ink for 'Thanks'
The supplies I used:
CTMH White Daisy Cardstock 1385 - 4 x 5.25" card front panel
Bazzill Lupine Cardstock 4.25 x 11 folded at 5.5" to make an A2 4.25 x 5.5 top folding card base
Miscellaneous pattern paper in orange colors
CTMH Amethyst Dye Ink Z2100 (No longer available)
CTMH Orange Dye Ink Z2138 (No longer available)
Club Scrap 3086 Neon Purple
Club Scrap 949 Orchid
Club Scrap 3085 Neon Orange
CTMH Z2191 Sunset Dye Ink
CTMH Z2153 Sweet Leaf Dye Ink
CTMH Z2640 Thistle Dye Ink
CTMH D1187 For Every Occasion Stamp Set (No longer available however there are many more like it, it was simply used for the 'with' & 'Thanks'
CTMH Z1936 Purple gems
CTMH Z1151 3-D Foam Tape

Popping a focal point
Thanks for stopping by today!
Want to make a card with a focal point that pops but is so easy to create? Here we go...
On a 5.25 x 4" white piece of cardstock and in a dark ink color, stamp your focal image where you want him to be on this card front panel. Stamp the focal image again, in the same ink color, on a scrap piece of white cardstock and fussy cut it out. From complimentary colored cardstock cut a card base of 8.5 x 5.5" then fold at 4.25 to create a 5.5 w x 4.25 h card base. On the card base, stamp the focal image multiple times in the dark colored ink to create an interesting background for the card panel to lay over.
In a much lighter ink color stamp the focal image multiple times on the white card front panel, to make a patterned background for the focal image. Use 3-D Foam Tape to pop the fussy cut image over top of its matching image on on the card front panel.
Stamp a greeting and mount it onto a slightly bigger shadow piece. Add ribbon or trim approx. 1/2" from the edge of the card panel then pop up your greeting in the middle of it.
Mount the card front panel over the images you stamped on the card base then complete a greeting on the inside of your card!
I used the following supplies:
Miscellaneous Red Cardstock 8.5 x 5.5"
CTMH White Daisy Cardstock 5.25 x 4 PLUS scratch to stamp & cut greeting scallop circle from
CTMH Ruby Dye Ink Z2170
CTMH Blush Dye Ink Z2106 (now only available in Pigment Ink) Heat set this ink
CTMH Topiary Dye Ink Z2155
CTMH D1613 Best Christmas Stamp Set Winter Cheer Greeting
CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge (to cut scallop circle for greeting & shadow layers)
CTMH 3-D Foam Tape
Miscellaneous Red Velvet Trim from Wal-Mart
Hope you have fun making one or many of these yourself!
Have a SCRAPtastic day!
Blessings,
Melitta
